Jon Lomas graduated from Bath University and started as a VT editor for BBC TV Centre in London in 1984. On leaving the BBC, he worked for a number of independent facilities around Bristol and is now co-owner and senior editor at 1st Cut. John is a confident offline and online editor with more than 20 years experience in the post production industry. He has a creative approach to editing which, combined with his experience and technical expertise, means that he is able to use the equipment to its full potential. John specialises in more complex graphics and compositing required for special effects in commercials, title sequences and programmes. He worked for a number of years with conventional edit suites, Paint Box and Edit Box, but now uses Avid Symphony in conjunction with a variety of software programmes.

John Wabe graduated from Nottingham University and began working as a VT editor for Aspen Sparfax TV in 1986, working in all areas of post production. He is now co-owner of 1st Cut with 15 years experience in the industry. During this time he has had extensive and varied experience of offline and online editing, working on a wide range of frontline broadcast equipment as well as almost all tape-based formats. This has enabled him to be adaptable and creative, offering many solutions to different problems.
